Here are some simple steps to brew the drip bag coffee in a standard way:

  1. Open the drip bag package, take out the drip bag. Then, have the drip bag upside-down, give it a good shake.
  2. Drip bag back in the original position, flick and tear along "open here".
  3. Pull the paper hangers and put it on a mug. (It is recommended to brew the coffee in a deep mug)
  4. Get your timer ready, start brewing  the coffee (start timer at the same time) by pouring hot water evenly onto the coffee grinds, in circular motion, until the drip bag is half full (or 30ml). Wait until 30s.
  5. Pour hot water into the drip bag to its top level, wait until the water is drained (when you can see coffee grinds). Repeat for 3 times (you can also follow the recommended water amount stated on the package).
  6. Put away the drip bag and you can enjoy the coffee.

Tips:

* VERY IMPORTANT! Fold every line you can see on the drip bag paper handles!

* Make sure you shake the drip bag a bit before tearing the top off. There will be some smaller coffee grinds, and they usually stay at the bottom of the drip bag. Having the drip bag upside-down and shake it well, so the coffee grinds are evenly spread.

* If you are using a household water kettle, and you don't get any thermometer in hand. It is better to wait a few minutes before pouring water into the drip bag, when the water boils.

* After brewing the coffee, if you feel like it might be too strong, it is recommended that you could put a bit of hot water in (and try out the taste). **Be aware that this water adding process has to be done when the coffee brewing process is finished. (It will taste different if you add water during the brewing process instead of when it is finished.)
